Prior to hopping on my 14 hour flight down unda, I went to Vegas with some good friends (that's us playing UNO in our Cabana. Posh, eh?). I won a nice amount of change at the tables (don't tell my Mom) and got a good tan. On our last night there we ate at Bouchon for my birthday. Nice way to break into my life in Aus.

Special shout out to Brendan, Ben and Ann who saw me off on my last day with a wonderful Italian dinner and birthday cake. (middle picture, note the wildebeest hair) Thanks Kids!

Latina POWER!

I have been a huge fan of Grey's Anatomy from the very beginning, and I have always thought that the cast was so diverse. HOLLA! But, I was so pleased to see Sara Ramierz get a regular part on the show. A lot of people don't know that she won a Tony last year for her role in Spamalot as the Lady of the Lake. She's the bomb. And its good to see a latina play a real role instead of always being the "femme fatale". Now, I am just waiting for her to start showing up in my US Weekly. The seasons are reversed in Aus, so I will be watching season 2 all over again when I get there. Hurrah!

This is my last week at work. Kind of weird, but just as I was going to settle into the nothingness of it- BAM!- tons of stuff to do. *sigh* When I quit I will have worked there for exactly 1 year! I am trying to pass the torch onto the newbies...bad habits, shortcuts, who to ignore, who to befriend... and in the end, I will choose one lucky person to be new keeper of Ralph, the plant. Big responsibility!!

In between watching Lost last night, I glimpsed at American Idol. They had a lot of "stars" on! It was jam packed with odd goodness. Prince? Mary J Blige? Anyways, does anyone remember when Garth Brooks went a little loco, and decided to do an experimental character called Chris Gaines? Now, flash forward to AI last night, and Clay Aiken's new look. Ring a bell, anyone?

So in between helping B paint last night, I managed to glipse at American Idol. Dude. How did these two get to the end? Lets hope the winner breaks out of the cheesy mold as quickly as they can, because there was a lot of two rate Vegas Style karaoke happening. *sigh*

The downside of not having cable is the fact that I miss one of my favorite shows, Best Week Ever, on VH1. Luckily, they sometimes have clips online. They really out did themselves last night.

The Gods must be LOVIN' me....

....right now. I have somehow managed to have my magazines shipped to Aus! Hurray! I thought it would cost a few million dollars in shipping, as some of the mags are weekly, but nope, its FREE! Glorious FREE! Well, unless I renew, and then it's like gazillion dollars. Fine with me! As long as I get the rest of my current subscriptions for no extra cost, I will super happy!

Getting it together

Yay! We have found a place to live. Its in the northern beaches area of Sydney. I found a link to the area making it sound all glamorous. R keeps on paying it out saying it's not that great, but these people seem to think so.

Also, on the good news tip, there is a car in sight now! I will make sure to send piccies of me ackwardly driving a car on the wrong side of the road. Ha, ha!

slooooowly going mad

I have been slowly going mad for years now. No doubt! But this past week has been like that scene in "the shining" where Wendy goes up to the typrewriter that Jack has been using and sees that he has been typing 'All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy' over and over. I fear that if anyone looks at my work, they'll be like "she's lost it". Basically, I am saying I haven't done shiz for weeks now. *sigh* Save me a place in room 237.

I have not even started to pack for my trip to Aus. Oh shit, I had better get on it!
